half of these fucking places wouldn't exist without paying a minimum wage, if they paid a living wage, they'd go bust. But don't be fooled by the big bosses sweet ride, he's still paying for it.

Regardless, no you cannot have vacation time and a .25 raise should be good for the year.

If they would have done like this.....for the small businesses.

If they would have given those people around 700 dollar a month for 5 month till hopefully the storm is over, we have a sum of 0,115 trillion dollars for that expense.

You wonder why those people with big noses who have tended to run the banks in all the major empires going back hundreds of years always get a bad reputation and end up being kicked out... because they pull shit exactly like this, every time... they get too much power and end up using it against the host population, becoming parasites.

There's a reason old pictures portray bankers as fat scrooges with big noses being greedy whipping the average peasant slave. Google has censored most of the pictures... you used to be able to type "banker parasite" into a google search and come up with all sorts of pictures.

The funny money system has to end at some point. That point has now been reached and the money being created now is not a continuation of same but the cost of the reset.

Gold backed currency to come and a reversion back to the old way of doing things. No more free money no more endless credit. You want a mortgage, it's 50% deposit down or no mortgage.

There will be a lot of pain but it will get better in time.
Quoting: The Searcher

=========================================================

House prices will drop considerably if the banks start requiring people to come up with a 50% down payment, and the residential real estate market as we knew it will simply collapse because only the rich or those who received large inheritances will be able to afford to buy a house.

========================================

I agree and some UK lenders are already requiring 40% deposit's.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 65118206

Rentals will be like that also. Requiring months of paid rent before moving in. And very detailed background checks. Live with parents or invest in a tent if you have bad credit or left rentals with a bad reputation. No one but slum lords who charge high rents will rent you anything. And they will play hardball with you if you are late once.

Re: I am not a economic expert. BUT
The ONLY REASON Wally-World "works" as a business model is their Cut-Throat policy of paying suppliers much later than generally accepted business norm, and their More Cut-Throat policy of negotiating even lower costs from suppliers who wish to sell in their stores.

The Wally Model is in process of failure.

When you're actually NOT the only game in town, and goods are scarce and in high demand; suppliers can sell elsewhere and make much more money doing so.

Why is Wally constantly out of stuff these days?

The suppliers are selling for more and getting paid much more promptly by doing business elsewhere.

It ain't like Wally or Amazon control manufacture of what they sell. Even their private brand name goods are made by the large producers as a way to offload 2nd-Quality and less-perfect products.

The public is no longer worried about 2nd quality in their demand levels for food and basic living supplies.

Much of the demand for retail products is gone due to the lockdown. Demand for groceries of all sorts is Way Up.

Wally sold many more items of routine demand before they went to SuperStores. In their SuperStores, they actually reduced many common demand items. SuperStores came about AFTER Wally had driven a significant amount of their competition out. Higher prices and fewer items in a much bigger store was the result; and then came groceries.

Wally's groceries have never seen a sale or a coupon. The savings made by their cut-throat policies weren't passed on to consumers. Their grocery prices were never Low.

The fact that Wally saved their customers time by having everything under one roof no longer works.

Pretty much have to shop seriously at 4-6 different grocers to assure you bring home the stuff you want to maintain in your pantry.

Wally assumed they could treat suppliers like shit and always get away with it. Covid is a severe threat to them, much more than any other mega grocer.

People aren't buying near as much clothing and shoes. Those items aren't being produced and imported as before either. Not like there are ancillary lines to take up the slack at Wally. Their suppliers are going to get Top Prices for stuff and probably be paid on COD basis or within 10 days versus 90-180 days per Wally policy.

Wally's failure will just become much more apparent.

The only thing that could have saved the economy would have been a one-time debt forgiveness of all personal debt owed to banks. In the Old Testament this was known as "the Jubilee" and always brought great blessing to Israel. Actually, it was commanded by God. Unfortunately, the people running this Country, Left and Right, do not believe in God, his Laws or His Covenant.

Additionally, the Trump-Pelosi pork barrel stimulus should have gone entirely to American households. Not a thin dime should have gone to the banksters, big business, and the MIC. They had their bailout in 2008 under Obama. Had the 2008 Bailout gone entirely to American households, each household would have received approximately 60,000 dollars. It could have been the same this time around but the Trump-Pelosi stimulus was not concerned with helping average Americans. 1,200 dollars is a joke considering the amount of damage the Government-initiated Coronahoax has done to the American economy.

Also, it is obscene that in the midst of a national emergency with Americans losing their jobs and families being destroyed, that Left and Right continue to spend trillions on a bloated Military Industrial Complex and continue to send billions to other countries in foreign aid.

The federal reserve is pumping in money in the stock market and banks like there is no tomorrow.
If they would have done like this.....for the small businesses.
we have 33 million people losing their jobs in the US.
If they would have given those people around 700 dollar a month for 5 months till hopefully the storm is over, we have a sum of 0,115 trillion dollars for that expense.
You give all the companies money for expenses, like rent and things they have to pay for to keep the company in business. Let us say for fun 3000 dollar for 5 months. I am just guessing that it would affect about 5 million companies, I take that numbers from the air.
For that we have a sum of 0,75 trillion dollars.

And we have to take in to account, the people that loose their jobs, the state still have to pay out unemployment benefits....So those 700 per/ person is not much if you count that in.

If these idiots would have done that, instead of paying out the markets and the banks, the could have kick started all economy after a half year, person still having their job and there companies to go back to.

Please give comments and say what you think. This would not even be one trillion dollars, and they have printed 6-7 so far. What the heck is going on???

Seems obvious that the people need money to buy the companies goods and services. If you are going to hand out cash, it should be handed to the people so they can buy things to create demand for the companies. Thread: "Universal Basic Income" makes sense even for Republicans IF they actually do the math.
