Masks work, I have lived in Japan for periods of time and look at the outbreak numbers in Taiwan, Japan, South Korea. Way under the numbers in the west.

The population density of Tokyo is twice that of New York City and we don't see 20,000 dead like NY, do we. Mask deniers have a bad case of cognitive dissonance.

We don't need lockdowns, we just need to wear a mask around people, hell we don't even need social distancing with masks.

- Japanese people were exposed to a milder version of SARS‐CoV‐2 that conferred herd immunity before the spread of a more virulent strain of CoV2.

- Japanese people have reduced susceptibility due to ACE2 receptor expression.

- Japanese people have distinct HLA that confers immune resistance to CoV2.

- BCG vaccine used in Japan confers protection against COVID‐19.
