Ghosts do what they want and do not reincarnate. 2)If you want to escape avoiding the light is essential. Once you enter the Light/Tunnel they have you. The only option at that point is to overtake them in the Afterlife and create freedom there. 3)The ability to escape the Matrix is a difficult subject.
