They’ll probably do it similar to the way they do the mask issue here in NJ, where they made it “mandatory” to wear a mask to shop, although all anyone has to do is say they have a medical condition that prevents mask use, and that cannot even be questioned under HIPPA. If you don’t want to use that as an excuse, afaik the store is obligated, as a place of public accommodation, to gather the items on your list while you wait and bring them to you outside.

“They” always make some way to get around their rules and regulations (just like “they” must tell you what they are going to do to you before they do it, to them your silence equals consent), they just make it difficult and know that the vast majority will go along with program for the sake of convenience. Most people have absolutely no sense of what actual freedom is and will go merrily along with whatever draconian measure are implemented.

Grocery stores here went to phone numbers after cards, then we all made up phone numbers. Cause fuck the points (and the tracking) we wanted the advertised sale prices.

Now they just give it to you for the sale price with/without points cards or airmiles. That's 4-5 big chain grocery stores anyway. Pretty sure you could ask the cashier to scan a card on a little chain if the stores computer needs it scanned
