Not too different from Trump's former Chief of Staff John Kelly, who was described as politically ambiguous but with liberal tendencies. Kelly said he'd have worked for a Hillary White House if she had asked him.

There are a lot of people like Flynn or Kelly. People who aren't staunch conservatives but are instead, at best, wavering moderates. Or very, very soft conservatives. But right or left, they have enough integrity to not be total liberal hosebags.
