Scepticism = Flat earther - The new norm?

Has anyone noticed more and more lately if you have any form of different opinion or go against the official narrative/story of the government your categorize as "Flat earther"

I read through comments on national newspapers as soon as you state a different opinion or question anything other than mainstream your labelled as Flat earther even the media now push same angle.

It seems more and more now that the media are using the flat earther angle to to discredit anyone to make them look stupid and put down any form of scepticism different opinion.

How has it got this bad? Is it because our governments (mainly western) Have lied that much and this is how they want to put down anyone who forms any type of push back?
I mean if you think about it is mainly the western governments taking this angle against its own citizens.
