If you have a question, ASK and I will forward the question. Are endless Windows & other "UPDATES" simply SPYWARE that online companies use for deceptive & possibly harmful purposes with anyone's computer or phone? I have been saying and asking this since 1997, when I had my first computer and Windows 95, which I happened to like a LOT! (Still wish they'd make things as simple as that OS again!) But my brother would tell me, "You have to UPDATE, You have to UPDATE!" and I always would reply, "IT'S SPYWARE!!! I DON'T WANT THEM IN MY COMPUTER!!!!" & would never update. I even wrote some pieces on here since about 1999 about updates being spyware and not to do them. Now it is automatic updates and you have no choice, you must take their beastly marks. I have a program running that blocks updates, but what if even that is suspect. ALSO, Why is McAfee antivirus so ridiculously DIFFICULT to operate, why does it WRECK so many programs and apps on any computer? Why is it even MORE difficult to remove and why do SO MANY PEOPLE SAY THE EXACT SAME THINGS and cannot stand McAfee! Well, you prob. won't ask that but I had to say it anyway. Thanks Fred |

If you have a question, ASK and I will forward the question. As some of you know I have a podcast. John McAfee has agreed to appear next week and it'll be released next Thursday. Quoting: Person445 John McAfee is a British-American computer programmer and businessman. He founded the software company McAfee Associates in 1987 and ran it until 1994, when he resigned from the company. McAfee Associates achieved early success as the creators of McAfee, the first commercial antivirus software, and the business now produces a range of enterprise security software. The company was purchased by Intel in 2011 and spun back out in 2017 with TPG Capital owning a majority stake, though the software has always borne the McAfee brand name. McAfee's wealth peaked in 2007 at $100 million, before his investments plummeted in the financial crisis of 2007–2008. [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] I'll pin the results once published. Russell Scott (Person445) No question to ask him, but please post the link to the interview when it happens, I would like to watch it. Thanks! They make it easy to purchase (a click of a link) but to cancel is damn near impossible without closing out your bank account to reopen a new one just to stop the charges. I think they should be fined for this shit |
