House was swaying, blinds were moving back and forth. I'm no stranger to quakes having lived in Cali on and off for over 20 years, this was a good shaker, I thought locally, was surprised it was so far away!

No, if you look at the shaker map, it's in a valley between mountain range with a whole mess of fault lines, mother nature just getting a new age wrinkle most likely.

Extremely. So unusual they had to include the details in San Andreas about a big one in Nevada happening before the really big one in California.

Seems like a lot of people were up at 4 all over. I found myself awake at 4 am as well (this is not normal for me). Someone else I know was up at 4 am Wyoming time (I'm in AZ) and a handful of his friends were up too. Maybe without knowing it, the quake's energy was strong enough to awaken people even as far away as WY, although I didn't feel it.

I heard that the San Andreas Fault couldn't produce a 9.0 EQ?? I believe the highest would be 7.9 or 8.0.

Don't get me wrong, I was born and raised in SoCal and been through many EQ's and although I am no longer in SoCal, I wouldn't want to be in a 8.0!!!
