Most of it is imported from China and grown in toxic sludge. It was very very hard to find clean ginger even before this all started.

Last week I got the last packages of garlic... two heads in each package.

I’m planning to go to Restaurant Depot and buy lots of garlic and ginger... all my dishes are made with garlic, ginger, and turmeric.

My WalMart has lettuce and cabbage but almost NO green leafy vegetables. There is a consistent shortage for breakfast sausage and bacon.

WalMart and Aldis are both devoid of whole kernel corn and frozen pizzas.

Both places sporadically have blocking signs indicating they are short on certain foods. For example, the whole chicken section at Aldis is empty.

For available food, the prices have gone up. It's over $20 for a pot roast kit. It's the first time I've ever seen chicken higher than beef.

That's what I thought too but then I read most of it comes from Thailand.

I need fresh garlic! I'm hitting an Asian market today hopefully I will find some.

I see yeast all over the place!

I do have some pickled ginger but it's not the same as fresh.

I can't find even a smidgen of the greens I use at walmart or aldi I get most of mine from Meijers and they are plenty stocked with fresh fruits and veggies, except ginger. :(

You don't even need to live in a tropical area. Lots of folks grow it here in Missouri, which can certainly swelter but is definitely not tropical.
