If you had the common cold in the last few years, you're basically immune to Coronavirus Hello,I live in the California desert. In feb.this year,I had a bad chest cold and was treated with two new drugs. In March,I believe that bad cold and the drugs would make me immune to the coronavirus.Maybe it did. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 11441685 According to this research, it's possible. Technically you wouldn't be "immune", but your immune system may quickly recognize the virus and take it out early. This happens all the time with people, we just don't notice. |

Surely, they all had the same colds over the last few years that the rest of us had. I appreciate the incel jokes. I sure have had plenty of fun at their expense over the years, but even incels do leave the house occasionally and would have caught at least a cold or two. Old folks are jammed in to retirement homes so plenty of viruses have circulated through them. People in Wuhan and New York are crammed into tiny apartments on top of each other and surrounded by vectors every moment of every day. If having had a few colds over the last few years confers effective immunity, why is anyone getting sick? John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. |

If you had the common cold in the last few years, you're basically immune to Coronavirus Good question: [link to www.technologynetworks.com (secure)] We do to certain strains, and then are cells can also "forget". It also means a vaccine is possible, but it will have to be tweaked. Unless they hit something that it has every time. (In other words, a vaccine for Sars-cov-2 will work, but maybe not for sars-cov-3). An interesting note is that this virus is very dangerous to the brain, but it doesn't have a great way to get there yet. If this thing ever gets into brains, we can expect to see massive, ugly, deaths. Have a nice day! |

In particular, relatively high levels of LDH alone seem to play a crucial role in distinguishing the vast majority of cases that require immediate medical attention. |

If you had the common cold in the last few years, you're basically immune to Coronavirus Aren't there several viruses for the common cold? So least 3,000? Probably more since beginning of human history. Most of them have become benign, that is, we are immune to them. The benign ones actually help us fend off the more serious ones. |

Just like a small fraction of people die from covid. |
