I would probably hate to have a blocked colon. Nothing feels better than taking a big dirty shit. One of those ones that just blasts out, and leave you feeling 5 pounds lighter. You feel like you're floating on a cloud, and you know there isn't so much as a kernel of corn left in there. So empty that you have to do your belt up another notch. That's a great feeling.

I hope you feel like that soon OP.

Glad you're on the mend, are you on any chronic pain meds, that is a common cause for that situation? Why they ran a CT on your chest is beyond me, but be glad they did, you'd be stunned on what they often find incidentally on CT scans.

Hi CosmicG!

Geeze...the things I miss when I am "laying low."

Hubby and I had an "incident" last Sunday and both of us
have been resting from it now for the past 3 days. Interesting
how when you get alittle "mileage" on yer bones you judst
don't bounce back as you used to do. It doesn't even come
close to your situation with the BO, lovely...I am so sorry
you have to go through this stuff.

Do you remember this chart?

:CosmicRAhealth:
FairUSE
Shared from Suspicious Observers site which
talks about news items involving space weather stuff.

EDITED 5-21-2020...wOW!~ This link is to an actual
scientific study linking Gamma Ray Bursts with physical
onset of illnesses--even shows graphics of correlations
between the spikes and "dips" of solar disturbances with
episodes of certain illnesses...so yeah, it IS related.
Here is the link--you really need to check this out. If
you keep a close eye on GRBs and solar activity you may be
able to draw some coincidences with extreme space weather
and these 10 B.O. episodes, Gypsy:

file:///C:/Users/HP/Desktop/Effects%20of%20Extremely%20Low%20.pdf

Since May 12th (that's 8 days ago now) there have been
one of the most powerful Gamma Ray Burst "swarms" that I've
tracked since early 2000's. It is concerning, of course, if
you check the chart because "older adults" can be more
sensitive to certain physical effects from these exotic
energies. There have been at least 10 so far...and that is
only the ones they are reporting--there are prolly more
and the reason for the strange weather, dam bursts and
"spikes" in COVID-19 cases. (I believe everything is related
to space weather--but it hasn't been completely linked since
medical science really HATES to admit our nervous systems
are ELECTRIC and react to the ELECTRIC UNIVERSE in ways we
do not yet understand.

You and I have talked about this before (O'sCookie) and
when these things start to fire off it affects my central
nervous system. My Asthma really goes nuts and in the
worst case scenario it can trigger small strokes. This set
of BURSTS has been no exception either. I am wondering if
some (not all) of this BO has to do with your own "electric
system" reacting to the exotic energies of the GRBs--the
central nervous system can really go on "the fritz" in the
bigger events. One GRB we had actually had THREE SPIKES
within seconds and was from the constellation Scorpius.
Check Earthboppin for the graphs and details. This is no
joke--IT DOES EFFECT HEALTH.

[link to earthboppin.net]

Of course this doesn't mean you ignore whatever your body
does when it reacts to these events--but you can "buff up"
on meds or personal procedures (like getting lots of extra
sleep or drinking extra water, etc. whatever you know helps
you particular reactions.)

I sure hope this all settles down for you and again my
best wishes for your quick recovery. You are a treasure
and are very missed when not around.

((HUGS))

Awww, your sweet note brought a tear to my eye.....hugs

I slept the sleep of the dead last night, over 8 hrs without waking up. That's remarkable for me. Normally I wake up at least once during the night, and I run pretty good on 6 hrs of sleep a night, which is what I normally get....sometimes 7, but that's rarer.

I'm glad I took today off, too. I wasn't going to...but I need this day off, for sure, now that I'm in it. I have a terrible headache from caffeine withdrawal...I'm sipping some now.....coffee4

I had a bowel movement this morning, so everything is working properly again....thankfully. Lawdy. I was a bit afraid last night because I felt the stirrings of it starting to happen again, but it stopped....thankfully.

You know, sister, I've found myself starting to ask the question, "Why me with this crap?" but I know I'll not get the answer I want, so I'm trying to set my persnickety feelings aside.

It's probably something I'm going to have to live with the rest of my life off and on, at least that's what the docs told me, because of the scar tissue from the surgery I had over two years ago. The surgeon told me he could go in an remove the scar tissue, but it will only result in more scar tissue, so....yeah, no, I wasn't going to do that....plus, I really did not want a surgery. I hate missing work, I love my job so much.

I will fight that prognosis, though....ohyeah

I do have to go turn in some ppwk from my run Tuesday and put some money in my bank to pay my phone bill which lapsed yesterday and make some chicken broth, but otherwise I'm taking it easy today. I have to do those things, otherwise I wouldn't do a single thing but rest.

I'm just glad it's over....whew

I had a male nurse tell me that a BO is worse than passing a kidney stone, and I think they're worse than having a massive heart attack. Lawdy, they are so very challenging. While vomiting I'm sure I'm going to see my feet come up out of my mouth. The staff was cringing while I was puking my guts up. I kept saying I was sorry for vomiting in front of them, and they told me not to worry. Harhar.

Ten of them I've had. I'm probably lucky to still be alive. I certainly feel like I want to die and that I am dying while I'm in it. They're the absolute worse....nothing worse in my life have I experienced. Not child birth, not an ovarian cyst bursting, not a massive heart attack.

Heh, sorry for my complaining....it's all so fresh for me, and I am raw.

The only thing I can think of that might've set this off is that the day it started I was bummed. I was feeling an epic amount of disappointment....I mean, in just about everything. I was trying very hard to talk myself down from my disappointment, this I'm very good at, but I just couldn't. I feel asleep in that state of mind.

I cautiously asked two nurses and one doc if they thought that might set off a BO - cautiously because it seemed unlikely to even me - but they all said that that's a very distinct possibility. Surprised me, their response.

Heh, I'm feeling like I'm going to have to walk a very thin line to keep it from happening again....strict diet, exercise (don't even get me started on that....scream) and now my emotions, too....tissue

sigh

I'll just consider my post to you a lil counseling session....harhar, I've got shit to let go of....rimshot

Laughter, eh? It's the best medicine evah!

I love you, sister...very much. Thank you for reading this post, I needed to get it out.

As always, my heart to yours, lovey....send

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78629642

I'm going to speak with the gastro specialist next Wednesday about the aortic stenosis gig....after all, my main artery was 100% occluded when I had the heart attack last year. There's something about that occluded artery that caused other problems, but I haven't gotten to the bottom of that yet. The docs don't agree with my hypothesis.

No COVID. I was tested and had a chest x-ray while in the hospital.
