The spin seems to be that Rice's statements are meant to incriminate Comey so that Obama skates on this.

That seems unlikely as she blames Obama directly in the video, which most MSM will never show. They will just focus on the email which she was reportedly made to write by the White House counsel.

Why would the White House counsel ask her to do that? I can only imagine two reasons. 1. To protect the new occupant of the White House. 2. to protect the outgoing (this was the day before inauguration) occupant of the White House.
