Walmart to give testing to employees?
I work at walmart, unfortunately, but it pays the bills. Saw a rumor on social media today that they are looking into giving mandatory testing to employees. Hope it is not true. Testing is one thing but if they get away with this, what's next? Mandatory vaccination when it's ready? This is all stressing me out. It's bad enough to have to wear a mask for 9 hours a day. Lately I have been getting nonstop headaches and feel like I cant breathe. If I refuse to.wear it I lose my job because," we have to protect the customers." Just over all of this. But, at the same time I know I'm lucky to have a job right now when so many dont. Just frustrated.

I'll ask my son about it. Not sure if he's heard anything about it at work. Like you he hates working for Walmart but he was furloughed from his last job and then they closed permanently. He was lucky enough to get a full time plus overtime job at Walmart. Never thought I'd have a kid working there but jobs are hard to come by, especially full time ones right now that pay over minimum wage.

Exactly. The pay is decent and the benefits too for the kind of job it is. I'm a department manager and make just over 15 an hour. Been there a little over 4 years and a dept. Manager for the last 3.
I'm just frustrated with all of this. Having to have my temp taken every day, the masks, if I have even a stomach ache they could send me home. Before all this I actually really enjoyed my job, but lately I'm so stressed out all the time.

Sadly if an employer can force you to drug test they can force a COVID test on you as well.
