Since the religion says you need to believe in Jesus in order to go to heaven and not hell, it makes sense that are more concerned that Jesus hears them and knows they believe. Their eternal life depends on it.

You don't have to say, in Jesus Name, like everyone practically does. Jesus's other name is THE AMEN, so when you say Amen you pray in His name literally.

I always begin with Lord, God, our Father, We, (or I), come to you through Your son Jesus, who shed His life, so that we might receive Salvation.

I usually close by saying, Your will be done in all things, in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, we ask this, Amen.

I say this because a Christian radio station i love posted Psalm 91 where God covers us with his wings and feathers.

It upset me a little. Why? I don't know. I'm typically not a petty person, but when a scripture talks of God's glory and then people praise Jesus... its like playing a guitar that is out of tune.

You are wise to recognize there is a problem.

It’s an annoying, Protestant thing. They never can give you a succinct explanation either when you ask them seriously and neutrally. They become defensive and vomit New Testament scripture. They also tell you you will go to hell if you do not accept Jesus as your “personal savior” but never instruct you how to do so, which defeats the purpose of proselytization. They also do not understand and/or abuse the charisms.-Most annoying, undereducated cult on the planet, by far. Growing up in the Bible Belt sucked so much.

Why would you want to lower Jesus to your standards?

Let me try a metaphor:

You love the thrill you get from a roller coaster ride.

Where do you go, how do you get that thrill without the "vehicle", being the physical roller coaster?

The Christ is deeply admired and loved BECAUSE it is the "Vehicle" through which God the Father can be "Flashed" to your spirit for infinitesimal communion instances. The Christ also serves as the protection Structure so you do only get an infinitesimal duration "Flash" through Himself, from the Father.

The very first of the ten commandments is:

"You shall have no other God's before me."

No profit, or minister in the bible ever accepted any worship.

King Herod did, and it turned out to be very bad for him.

So did Nebuchadnezzar...

Even in Revelation when John fell at the feet of an angel to worship, the angel said this.

Revelation 22:9

“Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.”

Jesus is the only living human who accepted worship and is worthy of it.

I'm not saying you cannot worship Jesus. But the vast majority of praise and worshio goes to Jesus. If God is greater, why not put equal effort into Him?

I know for a fact this doesn't upset God, but even as Jesus denied being good and said only God is good, the logical way path would be to go to God through Jesus.

God is an all consuming fire, His presence is beyond all creation, even greater than all of heaven for he holds it in his hands.

If we were to meet God face to face without Jesus we would die and be consumed.

The only way to approach God and to know God is to approach and know Jesus.
