1. Mormons... Was there ever a time in Missouri when you could legally kill a Mormon?

Lilburn Boggs, Missouri's sixth governor, in 1838 issued an order to "exterminate" Mormons in Missouri. It was not rescinded until 1976.

It includes the 1838 Mormon War in Missouri. I imagine if you are a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,

'Must be exterminated or driven from the state'
MIssouri Executive Order 44, also known as the "Extermination Order," was issued on Oct. 27, 1838, by Gov. Lilburn Boggs. Believe it or not, it states in part:

"The Mormons must be treated as enemies, and must be exterminated or driven from the state if necessary for the public peace — their outrages are beyond all description."

The order was part of the 1838 Mormon War in Missouri.

2. GOLD HOLDINGS FOR AMERICAN CITIZENS ILLEGAL..

Executive Order 6102, which made gold ownership—both in coins and in bars—illegal for all Americans and punishable by up to ten years in prison. Anyone caught with gold would also have to pay a fine of twice the amount of gold that was not turned over to the Federal Reserve in exchange for paper money.

Executive Order 6102 is a United States presidential executive order signed on April 5, 1933, by President Franklin D. Roosevelt "forbidding the hoarding of gold coin, gold bullion, and gold certificates within the continental United States". The order was made under the authority of the Trading with the Enemy Act of 1917, as amended by the Emergency Banking Act the previous month.

The limitation on gold ownership in the U.S. was repealed after President Gerald Ford signed a bill legalizing private ownership of gold coins, bars and certificates by an act of Congress codified in Pub.L. 93–373[1] which went into effect December 31, 1974.
