Actually if you dig deep enough you will see Judeo-christian theology derives from Egypt, and from that polytheistic belief system. Then it got mixed in with Roman Polytheism by the RCC.
The funny thing is everyone who believes in three separate gods (the father, the son, and the holy ghost) IS NOT monotheistic.

Jesus never said he was the son of god, he said he was the son of man if you listened to him.

Jesus called Himself the "Son of Man" in the beginning in an effort to hide His true identity for a while - so He could finish the "mission" the Father sent Him for.
IF the Pharisees had heard Him claim it early in His ministry, they would have tried to kill Him before He was done teaching the Apostles.
