Central Maine: They advertise meat at decent prices, but run out of the "weekly specials" the first morning, and then everything else is at least double what it would have been 3 months ago.

Spotty buying restrictions on chicken and beef. Sometimes there’s a limit, sometimes not. In AZ.

I had a thought... if they say meat is in short supply and limit you to say 2 packages of meat while you shop they kind of limit your ability to have get togethers which are of the plenty at this time of year.

Meat supply is fine in my area. In fact everything is even toilet paper. Now there is a limit on what you can buy however.

No shortages, here, per se. You just can't afford the prices. Like... hamburger $6.99, London broil $9.00, $1.99 for scrawny chicken legs.

Re: So what's the meat situation like in your area?
depends on the day. i had to go to 2 stores in my area in northeast pa. giant had no meat, but weis did.

many empty shelves next to fully stocked shelves.

same with hardware stores, home depot, lowes.

harbor freight running really low on everything. few gas powered items other than their trash water pumps.

Available, but escalating in price.

Ordered a bag of frozen chicken breasts recently and was a little shocked to find there were literally THREE inside, instead of the usual 6-8!

My freezers are full and I can’t stock up any more. No new freezers under $5K available for purchase.

This. Long Island NY.

Can't afford steaks.

Ground beef must contain some stuff other than beef because I wake up with a swollen lip after having it for dinner.

So chicken it is.

Eggs are still affordable so that's my main animal protein source...

Re: So what's the meat situation like in your area?
I was just thinking "phase two" is starting this week, starting to run out of meat, but it's there, but they're spreading it around to look like more, because a lot of stuff is missing.

I asked the meat dude there if he had ground sirloin, he said no they haven't been able to get it in. I said oh, really? He said yeah, they're having trouble getting it.

Then he went on to say pork and chicken were the worst, which now I'm seeing days where there is no regular pork chops or only dark meat pork items, still not completely out, BUT with the holiday weekend, I bet by tomorrow panic will start again.
