Philippine were fucked from 1898 till second half of the 40s last century and later on by installing friendly a la Marco's dictator completely servile and loyal to Washington. Japan got American democracy treatment starting in mid 60s till 1973(or rather 1075) loaded with Agent Orange and napalm. Japan, oh well, two atomic bombs dropped on a civilian population. That is your 'friendly' history with those nations. Really 'friendly' history.
