Anonymous Coward User ID: 78589210 United States 05/23/2020 06:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm a westsider. I've been heading out to the suburbs to do my shopping. Meijer is pretty full, although chicken is defintely lacking. Luckily I have two freezers full of meat so it's not too worrisome. Still can't find yeast but I still have 1-1/2 lbs. Most stores though are limiting meat so you just have to shop more. Honestly though I haven't used any ordering services, I don't need to pay someone to do my shopping for me plus I've seen those shoppers in the store and I wouldn't trust them to buy anything for me. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 44502948 What the hell with the yeast? People stress baking Restaurant supply has 1 lb bags for under $4 of SAF Red yeast. The little packets will probably be out of stock for the next 6 months. |

Just throw it in your recipe. |

Eonline options are still slim but if I go to the store it's almost fully stocked again Oh snap, looks like it’s starting to get serious. It's not getting serious, doomtards. Maybe in inner city Cleveland there are supply issues, but not in the burbs. OP is shopping online. Perhaps that's the problem. I do not live in inner city Cleveland. I live and the stores I'm referring to are in the suburbs. I'm not doing E SHOPPING. Instacart is a service which gives you a large selection of stores in your area. You pick one and fill an online cart with items from that specific store. Then shoppers to to the store and fill your order and bring it to your door. There are actual people going to brick and mortar regular super markets putting your selections into carts and checking out and driving to your home, exactly as you would do. As I said we tried obtaining items from four local stores. Three out of the four did not have BASIC shopping items like milk and eggs. One of the four did not have 14 out of 15 items that we selected and the shopper said the store was bare. It is a large grocery chain present throughout the Cleveland area. It is an upscale store and many of the products are more along the specialty side. Look up Heinens. There is no real explanation for this other than the supply chain is collapsing. It isn't because of the presence of blacks, or because Cleveland is significantly inferior to the rest of the United States, or because I'm using a delivery service and shoppers, or because shoppers working for a delivery service are incapable of putting food in a cart. I wonder why so many are so invested in trying to come up with some ridiculous explanation. Why would that be? Is it because anyone who says anything at all that could be going wrong due to Corona is a Communist, deranged Trump hater? At least on this site. |

It could be that the Instacart shopper couldn't make enough money on the order, and wanted you to cancel it. They might be busy and focused of filling the high profit orders. If you don't go out and SEE shortages, don't post panic threads. You're like a blind man reporting it's night at 12 noon. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78922013 United States 05/23/2020 07:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In the local Walmart, it's the non nutritious food that is mostly sold out. There's barely any beef for example, except organic ground beef. Canned food and packaged food has lots of empty shelves. Low grade eggs are gone most of the time. There's plenty of the eggs from free range chickens. The same with butter. I love it because I don't buy crappy food...well maybe 95% no crap with the occasional junk food added. It's as if there are no food shortages if you eat healthier foods. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76320280 So many items which we tried to purchase were unavailable that we had to cancel the orders, except for Aldis. At Heinens we ordered 15 items and the only thing in stock was a package of Thomas' English Muffins. Everything else was sold out. The shopper said the store was practically bare. Milk and eggs are consistently sold out everywhere. I don't think it's because of the holiday. Milk and eggs are not party food and many people are still quarantining. There just seems to be a shortage of food here. Is anyone else experiencing this? the white cities have plenty of food. looks like black people are getting starved into extinction. . What... and give up all that EBT money??? |
