This wasn't a bicycle it was a motorcycle. My husband's Harley weighs about 800 lbs and you don't push that thing very easily. In any event, the broken down bike was obviously a ruse because the killer left on it. I'll add, though, that a couple of these reports mention finding a car so I'm unclear if that was found near the where the attacks took place or someplace unrelated.

Manfredonia’s LinkedIn account says he worked as a financial operations analyst and currently as a marketing coordinator for a nonprofit organization, raising money for Special Olympics and state law enforcement.

That was a PR firm stunt to distract people from the fact that one of the male students, wearing camo, was accidentally shot by Newtown Police officers WC and SS.

According to state police, an acquaintance of Manfredonia was found dead at the home on Roosevelt Drive. The man's identity has not been released.

State police said it appears Manfredonia is responsible for the man's death.

I missed this bit before. He knew the guy at the second location. Wonder who that could've been.

At 9:17 a.m., Seymour police posted that the suspect may have been spotted on Tomlinson Road, which is off Route 34.

At 10:38 a.m. the state sent the following email about the search:

The Connecticut State Police are currently searching for Peter Manfredonia in the Osbornedale State Park in the town of Derby.

Manfredonia is wanted for homicide and serious assault which occurred in the town of Willington.

Manfredonia is 23 years old, White Male with Black Deshoveled hair, wearing Gray T shirt and Gray sweat pants carrying unknown type bag with food rations and is believed to be armed with numerous weapons.

If you see this suspect do not attempt to approach him and call 911 immediately.

Police early Saturday found a vehicle near the intersection of Hawthorne Avenue and Cullens Hill Road in Derby that may have belonged to one of the victims from an earlier crime.

Police found the vehicle at 6:45 a.m., though they do not know how long the vehicle had been there. Sandy Hook is about 11 miles away from where the vehicle was found.

The area is heavily wooded, and includes the 350-acre Osbornedale State Park.

“Out of an abundance of caution, residents will see a heavy police presence of local police officers and Connecticut State Police troopers along with aerial reconnaissance while they search for the suspect and look for evidence,” Derby police said in a Facebook post Saturday morning.

If I remember correctly Adam Lanza's dad worked for GE Financial before he got pushed in front of that train.

No criminal record for Peter (unless he had any juvie stuff which may be unlikely given that he's always on the high honor roll at school).

There's a chance his dad is Robt Jr.

The search has now expanded into Pennsylvania after a car he was believed to be driving was found there, state police said. Manfredonia was not found with the car. The department tweeted Sunday about 3:15 p.m., “The vehicle has been located in PA. PA law enforcement agencies are actively looking for the suspect.”

Police had said earlier Manfredonia is from Sandy Hook originally.

Seymour state police posted to Facebook at 9:17 a.m. Saturday saying a person matching the suspect’s description was seen on Tomlinson Road.

State police said they’re following every lead that comes in. Helicopters and drones were also involved in the search Sunday.

So a man who is possibly Peter's father was arrested in April for endangering and sexually assaulting a child on April 10 and April 11.

Not good.

You might just be correct...He may be fighting for his life. He could have just killed the homeowner.

The suspect that we know from Willington took supplies to include food and the victim’s truck,” Trooper First Class Christine Jeltema, the state police public information officer, said at a Sunday press conference. “We also learned that firearms were taken from the home. The victim on Turnpike Road was not injured and he refused treatment at the scene. The suspect then took the victim’s truck, drove it down to Derby where it was located near Osbornedale State Park.”

Maybe the people Peter allegedly killed are witnesses against his dad.

Yep - Robert J Manfredonia Jr. is Peter's dad, or at least Robert has 331 Kuhne as a former address (331 Kuhne is Peter's current address as well as that of his mother).
