Quoting: HarshingMyMellow I'm not a manipulator or a whore, so I have real trouble meeting good men. I have no wiles. I don't bother anymore, but back when it might have still mattered, I had no clue what to do. I can't date from work because it is work and I don't go anywhere to meet men. There are many women in this same boat, just FYI. Zero wiles. You don't really have to manipulate or put out, you just have to be friendly and nice. Most people respond positively to friendly and nice. |

Then wanted to express myself, be different. Went grunge, then goth. Did a bunch of stuff kids shouldn't be doing. Then on Halloween my senior year got in a car accident. Spinal cord injury. I always wanted to be different...got my wish. Quoting: serena28 Sorry. |

Of course they were. 90% of the people on here still are. And that’s a fact, Jack! Quoting: Tootles 73639648 ~~~~~~ 90 % seems high. I was not a nerd whatsoever, but I thought the clicks & groups, backstabbing & cruelty I witnessed was ridiculous... Upper income high school. I was never promiscuous. I met my husband at 16... He made “Sexiest Man Alive” look average. We married after I graduated college... Together 35 years. Life changed dramatically after we lost one of our children. It was also the day Jesus spoke to me audibly & restored me supernaturally. The Holy Spirit revealed truth to me through a decade of suffering, grief & darkness. I found GLP after I started searching relentlessly for truth. Jesus gave me eyes to see through lies! Seriously, who writes these things? Tell: After college: at least 22 y.o.....together 35 y. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74982081 I was. For some reason, the girls were always trying to get to know me better. I was too shy, though, and practically drove them away. Idiot. You were a homosexual, and girls knew you were a safe friend. |

Slothguano User ID: 78878500 United Kingdom 05/24/2020 04:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I was in the chess club, i had special braces for physical education, i was in most of the top groups for most subjects, i was bored throughout education because i already knew everything i was being taught everyday, i got beaten up most days for listening to my walkman, i got beaten up most days for playing on my gameboy, i got beaten up for the change in my pocket, i got beaten up for answering questions in class, i basically got beaten up for turning up, i had buck teeth a stupid bowl haircut with a middle parting and wore glasses, i kept my uniform tidy and crisp and wore everything respectfully, i shined my shoes and kept clean because im a germaphobe! i was terrible at sports apart from basketball and would probably be found in the changing room after hanging from a hook by my underwear! i couldnt even look at a girl let alone talk to one i avoided them more than the bullies, so yeah i think if you want to define my school life to a descriptive word, then i guess i was a nerd! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 76320280 United States 05/24/2020 04:39 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have been to a webpage on Facebook which is dedicated to people who lived in my old neighborhood and graduated from my gradeschool. I have read every entry. It kind of depresses me because I don't understand why so many of the remarks are straight horseshit, or crazy spin is put on events or people to change the reality. Either these people are lying and did not grow up in this neighborhood and don't know shit about it and are trying to fake like they did, or people's memories are totally fucked. It's really obvious that some people are using archives from the local paper to come up with shit. It's obvious that maybe a small factoid is known and then the extrapolation just went completely off the rails when people tried to create a fake memory. There are even many accounts of "where were you when Kennedy died," which are completely erroneous or straight lies, because I really was there and that is absolutely not what happened. Anyway, this seems very much like the same thing. Half the responses seem like they might be true, mostly the humble ones. The ones that are just straight brags and self aggrandizement are from the nerds. |

I wasn’t really shy, but I kept away from everyone and had all past no friends by choice. I didn’t relate to anyone. |

I don’t want flowers when I die… User ID: 72553234 United States 05/24/2020 05:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Here is a story. My divorced mom when I was around 13 threaten to take away my cable TV. I was really addicted to wrestling like WWF. Quoting: ET SF I stopped her by telling her I would disconnect the electricity. Oh, my... I was a good girl. Never gave a hard time to my grandparents. But my granddaddy didn’t like me watching “Married with children” and “The Benny Hill Show”, he used to turn off the tv. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78946822 United States 05/24/2020 05:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My gang were the non conformists. We smoked dope in the boys room and acted like goons to the jocks. The nerds, we'd try to get them high. I used to hire myself out as a hit man of sort for a few dollars I'd punch a fucker that needed it in the face for you and tell him to leave you alone. I excelled in science and math but never did a single homework assignment in 12 years of public schooling. Not once. My mother and father both agreed that school was for school and home was for home and we had to many chores and our own personal lives to do schoolwork at home. By the time I graduated high school I had amassed over 8 years of detention, never went to that either. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78946822 United States 05/24/2020 05:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I bet you clowns never figured out you didnt have to do homework or go to detention without being suspended from school. They tried to suspend me right before finals in the 12th grade hoping to sabotage my future for refusing to go to detention and my dads lawyer made a mess out of them. The school cannot require a student to do work at home or attend any after school activities such as in school detention. Students parents make them do it willingly because they perceive a threat which does not exist, a threat which is promulgated on them..the threat that the child will be expelled from school for not complying with unlawful demands. Most parents would make their kids jump through hoops to keep them from that shame and loss of an education. |

Just think about Sanford and Son , the Jeffersons, and Archie, the open racist contempt, but we all laughed at it black or white. Archie to his credit turned out to be a profit of sorts, they used the laugh track to ridicule him but people ended up loving him anyway, he doesn't seem so stupid any more does he?: |
