Quoting: Ohio chic [link to globalnews.ca (secure)] MSM praying on your ignorance again. Learn how sanctions work. We trading partners with either nation. User ID: 72892983 United States 05/24/2020 11:35 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | "Sanctions" are actually unlawful acts of war against the targeted nations. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78948938 The US is in a state of undeclared war against the ever growing list of countries that we are trying (and failing) to destroy by crippling their economies with these "sanctions". You got no clue what we are doing and whichever of those countries your 'gyna bleeds for? Its as easy as "not being like rosie and actually move" I haven’t been following this issue very closely, but regardless of the sanctions, that is absolutely pathetic that this shipment was even necessary because Venezuela, a country that floats on an ocean of oil, has to have its fuel imported from the other side of the planet. Quoting: Revbo™ Nice job, socialism. Idiocy. Thats right. You say to the world "we have tons of it....but somebody STILL has to bring it to us" and people are done. So fucking what? If your sanctions Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74097168 require warships to enforce then it’s an act of war. Go fuck your self America and die slowly.... Oh socialists are such funny neutered development failures - its like you were actually born of a not retarded, keystone species but then your parents broke you early on purpose. It's phony and repugnant....impotent as well and we could die fast and still watch the erasure of ridiculous, suicide culture child you. You've never said a dam thing to anybody that would bich slap you across the face and you never will. That's why you are funniest looking saying anything. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78948938 The US is in a state of undeclared war against the ever growing list of countries that we are trying (and failing) to destroy by crippling their economies with these "sanctions". If you add up all the wars, the US is engaged in a WORLD WAR. Communist China has been helping the US wage this war for about 20 years now. It provides, military, manufacturing and POLITICAL support. Until recently. The US has been losing those wars all along. Calling it "success" when striking defenseless dirt farmers and 3,000 year old irrigation and water systems in the Middle East and Africa. Then blaming the millions of refugees on "Climate Change." China has helped enormumously with all the above. They provided Obama political cover as he tried to bomb "people of color" into submission in a dozen nations. Things are going very badly for the American people. The country is quite literally on it's last legs. It's not honest about anything. It's all one "hurry-up stampede" after another. Staged wars. Staged shooting. Staged racism. Staged sexism. All distractions from the stripping of wealth. |

The USA, unable to commandeer their oil fields, has decided to put the screws to the population as a form of economic/trade terrorism. But don't worry, the USA's sanctions game is running out of gas and soon we'll all get to feel the pain as well. In 10 years every American politician will be saying "Venezuela, Iran? Anonymous Coward User ID: 76695796 United States 05/24/2020 05:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | CARACAS, Venezuela — The first of five tankers loaded with gasoline sent from Iran reached Venezuelan waters late Saturday, expected to temporarily ease the South American nation’s fuel crunch while defying Trump administration sanctions targeting the two U.S. foes. Quoting: Ohio chic [link to globalnews.ca (secure)] First off, just because the US has sanctions imposed on Iran does *NOT* mean that Iran cannot trade with other nations (like Venezuela). It simply means that the US cannot trade with Iran. So, in order for Iran to be “defying US sanctions,” they would have to be trading with the US either directly or through some intermediary. Or, American Corporations or businesses would have to be trading directly or indirectly with Iran (in violation of US sanctions). Now, if we had an embargo against Venezuela or Iran, then we would have shut down their ports with a naval blockade and anyone running that blockade would be in violation of the embargo... but sanctions and embargos are two different things hoping to achieve the same effective goals. Therefore, Iranian ships carrying petroleum based fuels have every right to travel to Venezuela and deliver their product. Neither Iran nor Venezuela have sanctions on each other nor does the US have a current embargo on either nation (though we have naval vessels in nearby international waters). The nearby US warships did not move to stop the shipments because in doing so it would be considered an act of war. I am not saying that I agree with letting this trade happen. I am simply stating that no US economic sanctions were violated in this instance. Do we allow Iran and Venezuela to trade freely? Well, stopping them (via an embargo) could and eventually would lead to war with one or both of nations and their respective allies. |
