I'm one who hasn't worn a mask yet. And when I see someone in a mask, I get a subtle but uneasy feeling as though they are sick or are contagious. My mind tells me to stay away from them and I fight to not shun them. I do not do that with people who are normal and natural. Mask wearing is abnormal and those who wear them present themselves as either unnatural or sick.

It's a bit disturbing. I'd like to understand the psychology behind it.

The mask protects you against droplet infection from others, and from a sneeze or cough from you if you you are infected but not symptomatic, in the 4 days prior to symptoms. I agree wearing a mask is a pain in the ass, but my daughter is an ICU nurse and has seen people go from healthy to dead in 36 hrs.
