Are you a Paramedic? How do you know it is 4x the number of calls? That is a pretty large area. How many hospitals are in that area?

Besides that, quality N95 face masks will filter 95% of particles down to the 0.07 micron range. They don't rate them for that size particle, but testing shows they do filter those tiny tiny particles.

N95s are highly effective. P100s are even better.

And that's with the highly inflated numbers.
