It is certainly hard to sympathize with China right now -- especially as they are occupying Indian territory -- not the other way around.

We should be FIRMLY on India's side, I think.

The area they have taken has glaciers and gives them access to more Himalayan water resources which they can divert from India.

CHICOM army is great at firing into crowds with live ammo and crushing protesters with tanks, but they are completely inexperienced at fighting conventional operations against a numerically and largely technologically equal opponent.

The Currymunchers have been on a war footing due to tensions with Pakistan since the 1970s. They know their shit, are well-equipped and are by and large good soldiers led by competent and very well trained leaders who don't have to constantly worry about a communist political commissar behind them holding a pistol to their head.

The CHICOMs are in for a big shock if a Sino-India conflict kicks off. I actually hope it doesn't because I'm pretty sure that if it does, the CHICOMs will withdraw with their tail between their legs and the rest of the world won't get an opportunity to cow them into submission via the magic of "shock and awe" strategy and then effect forced regime change in China. That would be a tragedy.

14,000 feet up. Troops have to go through an acclimatization period to even be stationed there.

I make no prediction of battle taking place -- at least not there.

Adding additional troops doesn't seem like running away to me.


Sometimes you have to wait to act until you are ready.


Adding additional forces may be something Indians felt they needed to do before taking action.

China's Coronavirus actions were worse. They basically launched a biological attack on the world.

Where as here, they're only infringing on the territory of another country, which is something that China does all the time.

They are 14 countries that border China, and China has disputes with all of them.

My favorite of his plays, the "Scottish play".


I am a descendant of Duncan and Malcolm.



He wrote some other plays about some of my ancestors, but that is my favorite.
