hydroxychloroquine can be effective for treating covid but dude, your heart will hate you for it and will potentially kill you, especially if you're already having a bad covid reaction. Trump obviously lied about taking hydroxychloroquine, that needs to get off the table already.

Actually, France banned Hydroxychloroquine for treatment of COVID-19 but she didn't mention that.

I'm a MD, general medicine at Loma Linda Hospital.

I'll try to break it down for you guys.

hydroxychloroquine with zinc really helps slow down the virus from being able to replicate. Reason is HCQ adds more iono4 pumps that allow zinc to actually enter the cell to interrupt replication of the virus.

BUT here is the issue guys. Who dies from the virus? Is it healthy people? Is it children or healthy older people? No. Of course there are outliers but this virus is mostly lethal to the people who are older that have underlying disease or even younger patients if have really bad health problems.

So the issue is what are the contraindications of HCQ??
That is, what underlying conditions will cause problems if they take this medication.

Contraindications for HCQ:

DIABETES
HEART DISEASE
HEART ARRHYTHMIAS
RENAL DISEASE
ALCOHOLISM

Basically people that are obese the medication HCQ can complicate their health issues and cause death. 80% of the people dying are obese and have related health issues

What will happen if they do trials on this drug on those acute patients that are dying of covid-19 (obese people). They will more luckily die taking this drug than if they didnt because it makes their underlying issues worse.

So, if you are healthy and not obese u will not die from the virus. If you take HCQ and ur healthy and get the virus it will make time period you have the flu shorter and feel better. Its great for that. Not great for the people that get it that will most likely die from it because of the bad synergy with with their health problems.

Solution? Be proactive and stay healthy guys. Exercise, eat better..etc. The body is amazing and able to fight a lot of things if healthy and less chance, if there is medications that helps, that it will be a contraindication to take it.
