There is a solution. State and local governments can borrow directly from the Fed. Cuomo mentions the Fed chairman Powell, but ignores the program the Fed put in place.

But it's not a bailout. They'll have to pay back what they borrow, and maybe it will impact the government employee pensions.

Winning. The states can get money but not as a gift.

He says they're building a new airport at LaGuardia already. As a New Yorker, I was not aware of this. It must be in the very early going. Or, another lie.

And unlike what he says, road projects around here take FOREVER. They were rebuilding I-287 from the Thruway through White Plains, for at least five years. The road was torn up, with detours even worse than the existing road, and no work was being done. Often crews were hanging around not doing any actual work, surely getting paid.

If people like Cuomo are bailed out then they don't have to face the consequences of their asinine fiscal policies. Even if I lived in NY I wouldn't want him to get bailed out by the feds. These policies will never change for the better if they keep getting bailouts.
