Those companies were granted immunities that is not normal for every company. Those immunities were based on the idea that they would behave more like a utility company. The electric company can't turn your electricity off just because they don't like your politics.

Because of this, they can lose their immunity and it would change everything for them. And the truth is that they really aren't acting non-political anymore.
