For a sensitive man who cares so much about natural ecosystems it's weird that you're so against modern agriculture. If farmers had to use only organic fertilizers they'd have to farm much larger tracts of land to get the same yields. This means forests (natural ecosystems) get clear cut to plant your poorly yielding organic fed crops (feces, blood,feathers,piss, and other slaughter house byproducts) . yep thats what organic fertilizers are.

Modern agriculture saves forests and feeds the world. We'd have to cut most forests on Earth down to farm enough organic food to feed everyone.
