He did die right there on the ground. It had been reported that he wasn't breathing
and had no pulse after he was placed in the ambulance. About 2 minutes later, a
fire rescue met up with the ambulance and reviving procedures were continue
for about an hour to no avail. Then, he was finally "officially" pronounced dead.
