Yeah, its straight treason for what some of these globalist that for now call themselves Americans have allowed. All in the name of money and wanting the US to fall into ruin. It's all part of the plan.

They probably planted mini nukes in them which would all go off at a push of the button. Or some type of mechanism which would shut them down at a push of a button. We should NOT be buying things like that from China.

We knew we were at the mercy of the Chinese with these transformers. Why didn't we start making our own sooner?

At the very least, it is not implausible to design a transformer that could mechanically fail under certain conditions. It doesn't need to be some super smart hidden backdoor; it would only need to be constructed with inferior materials to be a predictable failure point.

But I'm sure Chinese manufacturers go to great efforts to ensure their products are robust and rugged to the highest standard and therefore we should think nothing of trusting their workmanship with the integrity of our national power grid --> NOT!

My understanding is that China is essentially the only supplier in the world now for these large transformers. That is insane. The US should make it a law that all grid critical infrastructure should be sourced from domestic sources. I wonder just how compromised our grid has become.

That's the scary part. If they stop all imports from communist China, that means no transformers for our power grid, until American companies can start building them here. I assure you communist China is exploiting this issue to insure they can control our grid. They can, and will, knock out our power and leave most Americans sitting in the dark.

China owns 99% of the world's resources of rare-earth metals.

It seems pretty clear to me that 15-20 years ago the Chinese woke up and said "We're not going to sell this stuff to anyone any more. If you want it, come and build your factories here in China and employ Chinese workers and we'll sell you the stuff you need - but only for what you produce here."

Thus, all the electronic stuff we buy is made in China only.
