So what exactly is it? What is going to be done?

Way back when, when they were small, they were given protections against being sued because of content put on their sites by third parties, such as porn, etc. They were protected as long as they removed such illegal content, is what I understand. What has happened is over the years they have grown to such an extent that they saw an opportunity to use their "protection" as an excuse to "censor" anything they deem "wrong". Even political speech. And that IS NOT what the "protections" were put in place for.

Trump just opened up the internet "wide opened"

It removes liability shielding from social media because

the are using the platform to push their personal agenda.

It also allows for the FDC to create rules for content

providers pushing an agenda.

He has done more than ANY OTHER PRESIDENT I have seen (and it's been at least 6 of them) in my lifetime. Usually you get a bunch of promises from a President and you might see him get ONE campaign promise done. Trump is batting about 500 all while dealing with a Russia hoax, special counsel investigation and a fake impeachment. Imagine what he could have done if all the wishy washy Republicans didn't think he was going to be removed soon?

What they "fact-checked" first was President Trump's tweets about voting by mail and the potential for vote fraud.

And they "fact-checked" it with a link to a fake news (CIA) Wapo article. It wasn't a response to his tweet - they inserted that link into the original tweet.
