I still don't know anybody dead from COVID-19

It's got to the point where i am seeing the old people on my street and thinking, why ain't they dead from COVID-19? I see them out every day during the lockdown to go to the shops and excersise. Nobody in my family dead or friends or people from my work and customers too.
Where were the Ambulances rushing around constantly picking up patients? Why aren't the funeral directors in my town over whelmed? By the way i am from Peckham South London a supposed badly hit city.
