OP you are aware that in the uk we are looking at 40-50 extra deaths for this time of year

that's 40-50k over the usual 30-40k/month of people who die

because old and frail people die all the time and we are actually fortunate that the young are relatively protected this time

that's not always the case with viral pandemics


this has been bad but so far , given the size of your population

you are doing ok



it's not that nobody cares


it's that a viral pandemic is not unknown to mankind

all viral pandemics in the last 100 years have started in the east

long before biological weapons could have done this - although this does look suspiciously well 'adapted '


but this is not outwith the realms of natural possibility

and either way , man made or natural , we are still here


so do care but just needs some perspective
