Is this not a problem that needs to be changed for good, to stop the apparent cycle? I wonder how much $ has been lost due the the rioting and burning in Minneapolis so far... probably into the $100's of millions by now... and the weekend isn't even here yet. What did those 4 cops think would happen by killing a black man on video, a promotion maybe? It's time the police be disarmed and learn to deal with community issues without the use of deadly force. A cop should never be allowed to be judge, jury and executioner. If they what to behave like that let them go be cops in China. I've been to China......the cops are NOT more brutal in China...now, I am sure there are government "police" that would come and drag your ass off to a "re-education camp" or something if you step out of line....but I didn't see cops in the streets of Shanghai......at least not the week I was there....AMERICAN cops are quite "unique" in their powers, brutality and racism..... |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 78257525 United States05/29/2020 08:36 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You can kill people by looting, starting fires & rioting too --- just as easily as what happened between the black guy and cop; doesn't mean it was intended (although starting fires, looting and destruction of property is absolutely intended). I feel that the majority of people in America are not willfully turning a blind eye to police brutality (no one wants this) anymore than we turn a blind eye to polar bear hunting & flash mobs robbing stores. No one in their right mind thinks ANY of this is acceptable! I believe Trump is correct in stating he will bring in the NG if the thugs continue to destroy other people's property and put additional lives in danger, and yes, I also agree they are thugs. Our country needs to nip this in the bud NOW before race baiting Obama & Co., incl. that p.r.i.c.k. Kapernicki get momentum going to cause more riots/destruction like what happened in Baltimore, oh I have not forgotten. Side Note: I lived through the 60s riots, I saw what happened. I saw 25% of my town burned down, it was tragic so yeah, call me what you want, but I support Trump 100% on stopping this now. The justice system can deal with the incident, but we need to protect our cities/towns from going up in flames. |
