The National Guard is hardly the force the President thinks. They can’t shoot on site, they are not allowed to arrest or prosecute, and hold only the power of prevention. Meaning, if called called. The Minnesota National guard may intervene, yet not use deadly force. They can watch and detain criminal behavior without prosecution powers. So they can roll in, scare the shit out of everyone, and detain persons for prosecution.

They cannot(unless Marshal law is in effect) fire upon US citizens. Arrest and charge said persons, or cite the with any ticket. The National guard is a state defense against foreign powers engaging or trying to gain control. This includes the US federal government.

However, if deployed, and not under Marshal law, the units come under fire, they are permitted to engage in kind.

A real tinder box going on in Minnesota. Brothers and sisters of Minnesota. Justice takes time. We are with you, yet do not support this action of arson and upheaval. Justice will be served and things will change. Do not resort to just basic acts of anger and aggression towards those that have done nothing.
