In the 60s when the race riots broke out, my deceased father, a Korean War vet, was ready to shoot to kill if any rioters entered our property.

I don't see how much has changed other than no reason for the riots to begin with, we now have a, IMO, biased judicial system that is ready to prosecute alleged hate crimes at the drop of a hat.
