Dam, potheads are so defensive.

Try coming off all those meds you take CKP after a few days you will see what addiction means.

Have a lovely day. Wish I could get some of the Whitby Scampi. Now there’s a addiction!!!

That’s why I quit after a decade or more of use, I noticed during my breaks that I’d have less anxiety and so I ultimately quit to lower my anxiety and now I only get anxious once in awhile rather than any time I’d have a social event or anything that required me to engage with a person whom I was not familiar with.

There's also Indica, sativa, hybrid, haze.

If you're going to do a drug be educated. I'm sure these people you speak of are stupid.

Oh well... I'm smoking a joint as I read and write this.
 Quoting: ET SF

I prefer a indica, have grown several strains over the years and have found one that suits me and I get a good yield to be self sufficient throughout the year.

I agree some people need to educate themselves more, weed is not just weed, every strain has different effects and capabilities. Those that know, know.

Today’s high potency weed raises risk of anxiety and addiction, study says

If you’re thinking of returning to the weed of your youth to ease the strain of the pandemic, you will soon discover a potent truth — today’s weed is nothing like yesterday’s.

Use of weed of any strength has been linked to mental health disorders, and lab experiments have shown that higher does of THC can cause greater memory impairment and temporary psychotic-like symptoms. But few studies have examined how potency levels may affect behavior in real-world populations.

A new study, published Wednesday in the journal JAMA Psychiatry, surveyed more than 1,000 UK residents who reported marijuana use in the past year. The study found high-potency weed users appear to have a significant increase in the likelihood of developing generalized anxiety disorder than those who smoke less robust strains of marijuana.

In addition, high-potency weed users are more likely to use weed at least once a week, twice as likely to have used illicit drugs within the past 12 months, and more than three times as likely to be tobacco smokers, according to the study which was published Wednesday in the journal JAMA Psychiatry.

The study:

Users of high-potency cannabis four times more likely to report associated problems

Users of high-potency cannabis are four times more likely to report associated problems, and twice as likely to report anxiety disorder, than users of lower-potency strains, according to new research from the University of Bristol.

Plot twist: Accumulation of THC from a potent strain of pot after 10-12 years ends up killing users, including you. You end up at judgement and you find out this is how you died. You ask the lord, "Lord, why wasn't there some kind of warning, or a message that might have saved my life?"

And he says "I sent several obvious warnings throughout your life, but you did nothing. Finally I created a user, Cannabis Kills People! on that goofy misnamed forum you love, , and you only ridiculed him."

And now here you are.

And Down You Go.

GLP Doc reminding you to analyze study deaign carefully.

Many people with anxiety smoke marijuana as a treatment. Therefore the population that smokes marijuana has a higher percent of people with anxiety. By simply polling users this does not strongly support that marijuana causes anxiety

So does grain alcohol, but you use it in relation to its strength.

Weed is the same. All of us have OD'd on alcohol. Some do and die,

Cannabis? find me one death that is not way over the top crazy (like eating a pound, or smoking with lung issues)

I've been addictes. I get the strongest shit available at 34- 37%>. The high last for about an hour for me.

I got my friend stoned the other day. He hasn't had any weed like rhat. Dude was fucked up. I wish I could still get high like that.

I don't get anxiety. Incan understand why people do. It basically feels like your spirit wants to leave your body if you don't understand.

What really is happening is your aura expands and you can feel shit outside of your normal range. Your outer consciousness expands.

Hemp is a win-win situation. It really works on anxiety, and no high or mental impairment. Highly recommend.
