They wanted Twitter to flag it, so now they can go after them for censoring the official government channels (rather than just Trump's personal account). It's actually a reasonably clever ploy by the White House. And Twitter wont back down because it would be worse for them PR wise if they did. If you go to the link, there is a note from Twitter saying that ordinarily they'd remove the tweet but that they're going to go ahead and leave it because it might be of public interest. Or some such gobbledegook. Politically correct CYA. Well yeah, but Trump wanted Twitter to react like that to an "official" tweet, not just his own personal one, that was my point.
