They're not fucking gurkhas...they're RAF Regt...I'm a 15 year Royal Air Force veteran...I think I know my uniform.

Further to that the Palace is undergoing renovations of te East Wing (the face of the palace you see in the twatter vid) so boarded up windows would be no surprise.

Finally the covering of the crest...why only cover up the one crest? Makes sense that, as commented further up, that the crest was damaged by a contractor vehicle.
