Christians are *told* what to believe regarding this verse...
Genesis 2:17
"But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die"
They are *told* that 'in the day' doesn't really mean that. They are *told* it means a long span of hundreds of years.
In addition, the word 'surely' doesn't mean what it says either. Instead, it means 'kind of sort of, but not really'.
They will say things like "Adam and Eve died a Spiritual death", which is a made up excuse for not believing the Bible.
In other words, Christians are taught that God lied.
I on the other hand actually BELIEVE what the verse above says, and therefore I am much hated.
Adam and The Woman (Ishshah) DIED on that very day they ate the Fruit. It was an actual physical death and not 'kind of sort of'.
Quoting: Base12 The Bible says one day to God is like a thousand years. So they started to physically die a slow death. Both died before the thousand years was up. They were spiritually separated from God which leads to a physical death.
