Christians are *told* what to believe regarding this verse...
Genesis 2:17
"But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die"
They are *told* that 'in the day' doesn't really mean that. They are *told* it means a long span of hundreds of years.
In addition, the word 'surely' doesn't mean what it says either. Instead, it means 'kind of sort of, but not really'.
They will say things like "Adam and Eve died a Spiritual death", which is a made up excuse for not believing the Bible.
In other words, Christians are taught that God lied.
I on the other hand actually BELIEVE what the verse above says, and therefore I am much hated.
Adam and The Woman (Ishshah) DIED on that very day they ate the Fruit. It was an actual physical death and not 'kind of sort of'.

"But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day"...is in the context of the Flood of Noah... 2 Peter 3:6
"Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished"There is more to the story here. There is evidence in the Bible that the Flood actually lasted thousands of years.
