Daily Prayer Thread !!!Plus The Word Part 2

Roy passed away.

My husband Roy passed away in his sleep early this morning.There will be a graveside service for Roy Wednesday afternoon.

I want to thank you all, for all the prayers and kind words during these past few months. Roy lived longer than expected. He passed peacefully in his sleep, with no pain.

My daughters and my brother Kenny went with me to the funeral home earlier to make arrangements.We are keeping it simple, as Roy requested and finances dictate. My Priest will do the graveside service.

Hi everyone..

Perhaps you remember my asking prayer for my middle son, D.

It's been a grueling several weeks. He lives a half hour from me, in a tiny village of 11 families. My youngest son is just next door, my oldest son has been staying with him.

Well.

My youngest son raises huskies, has 3 large fully grown huskies atm, 2 males, 1 female. They are moving to the east coast Aug 1st, O.o have made one trip back there with 1/2 their things, while I doggie-sit the huskies, lol. Which puts me smack next door to D, who has spent the majority of this past year shut inside his darkened computer room, staring at nothing.

Ok... meanwhile, my oldest son is moving to the west coast, and is leaving in 2 weeks. O.o which will leave me alone with my middle son who still has delusional 'episodes' from time to time, tho less and less lately, since so many have prayed for him.

So am letting y'all know that there has been a slight breakthru!!! (Thank you Lord!!!)

Remember, this is after nearly a year of doing 'everything' we could think of to do/say to and with him, nothing, nothing has gotten thru to him. nothing.

So when you hear what the breakthru is, lol, you may wonder if I'm losing MY mind, tho lol, I assure you no, am just counting a VERY simple thing as a breakthru. :D

I had let the huskies out into their fenced backyard, they were on my very last nerve. lol Had gone over to D's, who came outside with me and began building a bonfire in their fire pit. (breakthru part one).. something we used to do every weekend. and here he is, OUT of his dark room willingly, and walking around gathering twigs and such, to build this fire and get it going.

Am sitting there talking, while he walks around, lol, talking about how bad my day had been, (nothing about him). I was complaining very loudly, lol (i AM italian after all). these dogs who are HUGE, each think they are lap dogs. they are huskies, they howl, they talk. they can each say 'i miss my mama'. as they are climbing in my lap. so you can well imagine the scene. i am explaining all this to D. and i said, i just got thru feeding them, and Gwennie (the female) goes and SITS in the food bowl, feed goes flying across the room.

I continue with their antics. and I could see a....... SMILE ..... on his face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (part two of the breakthru) so i kept on complaining and making the whole thing sound 10x worse than it really was. and finished by saying i just don't know if i can take a whole other week being grandma to such spoiled fur-babies!! said that i told them all that it's too darn bad they are stuck with me, so deal with it!!! .... and by then D was laffing so hard, it was wonderful to see!

Just wanted to share this breakthru with y'all.

I srsly do not recommend using a 'bitching and moaning' technique with anyone in desperate need of prayer, it's hardly therapeutic. LOLOLOL but hey, with him, it worked, and it wasn't even planned. ahahaha



Yeah, I still have a week left with these 'lapdogs'.

Me too. Hospitals are not the safest place to be right now.

He did good last night. I made him some home made broccoli soup that was full of nourishing veggies. He ate it and went off to sleep right after. It was an exhausting time for us both.

Prayers and hugs for all.

My oldest daughter Mary K, is coming over today, as we are going to go through Roy's clothes and start to bag them up and drop them off to a local church.

There are many things to go through, and except for things that should go to family, everything will be donated to help others.

On a poignant note, for our wedding anniversary in February, I found Roy his dream guitar, a beautiful red and white Strat.He never got to play it, as he became too sick shortly afterwards.
At the funeral meal after the ceremony Wednesday, I pulled it out and one of Roy's amps, and had my 14 year old grandson play it, in memory of his grandpa, who loved him so much.I gave the guitar to my grandson after he played it, as I know Roy would have wanted him to have it.

I'm so sorry Tiger.

Good morning/evening all, depending on when you are reading this. I just want to update those that had been following along with the insanity of my life from the other prayer thread.

So, there has not been any good news as of late. My condition has gotten worse. My ability to walk, stand, drive has been pretty much shut down. I can not stand or walk for more than 15 minutes at a time and I have to use a cane. I am losing feeling in my legs constantly. My headaches have grown in number/intensity and get so bad that I am unable to sleep. Driving is too big of a risk for me and the Dr highly recommends I do not drive due to passing/blacking out.

From everything that I have been discussing with my Neurologist it appears that the Syrinx has grown in size and has expanded and now stretches from C2 through T3. I did get more MRI's done and it does show that I have a chiari malformation. Neurologist and Neurosurgeon both want me to go under the knife to have the Cyst removed and the chiari fixed.

The fact that I have not been able to work out, run or cycle like I use to has gotten me down; on top of the fact I have gained nearly 45 pounds now. It has put me in a mood. Not a good one. Depression, anger, and bouts of crying. Work is not working with me any longer. I am being forced to go the medical retirement route and to make matters even crappier the process takes 18mo to 24mo to get approved. All the while I am not earning anything or getting SS Disability either.

Let me correct myself...there is some good news, my heart is far better now, BP is under control and my cancer is in remission per the last test. I just am smashing my head on the desk trying to figure out what it is that God is trying to have me learn here.

I know you may be at wars with these protesters trying to ruin your country (and ours to a lesser degree) but the hate spewed out on one of the threads was more than sad. I pray for those people to also find some love in their hearts.
