he even said (about the astronauts getting into the car to head to the launch pad and then talking to their kids at the the car window how it might be the last they saw of their father and that there was a chance they would never return...

speaking of NBC, has anyone noticed those small objects flying around the launch pad in the mornings on the local news?
these arent birds because they leave a little trail behind them, like smoke.

I spent most of my aerospace career at Downey, CA in the Space Shuttle Division.

I am very impressed with the technology and innovative approaches that the new launch companies have demonstrated.

My only concern is that the entrepreneurs underestimate the enormous costs of actually fielding a reliable, safe launch vehicle.

The number of things that can go wrong are legion. The engines, for example, push every known material technology to its limits.

The only way to mitigate risk is large teams of experienced engineers pursuing every problem to a conclusion. The amount of testing is what drives up the cost.

We spent $25B developing and building the Shuttles and STILL knew that there were many risks which we just had to accept. It was an imperfect, compromised system and we knew it.

Those risks and budget limitations caused two catastrophic losses.

I pray that the launch goes well.

Courage is required to conquer the High Frontier.

fake. Go back slow mo watch the first guy go in. Both of foot were down to the floor before the cam switch. But when it switched to the inside cam. his foot still on the higher step. This is live feed there should be no delay of both cam.

And the second guy already in there then he stands up the second guy ready to go in. But when they switch the cam. the second guy's foot is still outside the door. lol

There is no reason to have two cams not synced.
