My best friend is a police officer, and multiple tour combat veteran.

Last year, a mentally disturbed black man attacked him with a knife. Instead of shooting him, or even tasering him, he engaged him hand-to-hand and managed to get the knife away and subdue him, without any assistance.

He threw his back out and was in a lot of pain for several weeks... the other guy was 10 years younger and had 30 lbs on him... plus he was fucking crazy. Shit like this happens all the time, but it never makes the news. Only when things go bad do you hear about it.

Tonight, he's out on patrol with a fully automatic M16 at his side ready to go fearing for his life because of the actions of a couple of officers a thousand miles away.

I have to admit that what the political leftwing elite have attempted to do to Trump has made me believe they'll easily try the same thing elsewhere.

Minneapolis is a very liberal city and I'm sure its police department has no shortage of versions of James Comey or John Brennan. So honesty and ethics are not the strong suit of such people and places.

I've hoped Floyd was a more innocuous, more spotless-crime-record person than anything else. Maybe not. If so, it figures that the political left from A to Z will get all hot and bothered by Minneapolis PD and Floyd, and just the opposite towards Comey/Brennan and Trump.

A late crowd of protestors from monument circle have marched North to join with the protestors at my location.

One black protestor walked up to my truck to check on me and see if I needed water or anything. The exchange was polite and ended with a fist bump.
