The mayor says he won't agree to demands simply because protesters block streets and highways, come to his home, or other "attempts at intimidation." Bynum says that collaboration, deliberation, and thoughtful action are what it takes to have change occur in Tulsa.

What started largely as a peaceful protest in Oklahoma City Saturday night turned violent late with agitators throwing rocks, bottles and glass at police — and officers reciprocating with flash-bangs and tear gas.

By 11:30 p.m., Oklahoma City Police declared the protest an “unlawful assembly," but by 12:30 a.m. Sunday, chaos reigned near downtown.

OKC is NOT violent today, yet. There was a peaceful protest at the Capitol today that just broke up. Crowd now moving to OKC PD headquarters. MRAPs are deployed and ready.

One protester was struck by a car after a march moved North to I-44 and spilled onto the highway.

I-44 was shut down westbound towards Riverside for several hours as the scene was cleared.

Police said that person received non-life threatening injuries.

All lanes of I-44 are back open.
