GOOD NEWS NETWORK - Mysterious 'Glacier Mice' Charms Scientists
Balls of green Moss that are literally growing on nothing are caught spotting an Icelandic glacier.

Scientists have found these balls of moss are formed from one species of moss growing on a tiny fragment of matter, with more species of moss growing around it until they form large balls called 'Glacier Mice.'

Further studies of these 'mice' found bugs, worms and many varieties of moss inhabit many of these green moss balls.

“The whole colony of moss balls, this whole grouping, moves at about the same speeds and in the same directions,” Bartholomaus added. “Those speeds and directions can change over the course of weeks.”
