my daughter lives in a small town in SO IL (17,000 ish) she got off work and tried to go to the store, they said they couldn't allow her in as they were closing because BLM had planned a protest. I talked to her later she said she didn't know what was happening but there were police and helicopters everywhere. The night before they (protesters) had looted a mall in the neighboring town.

she just told me a couple of motorcycle clubs came out in force to make sure the protesters stayed in line

There are peaceful protesters who hate what the rioters are doing, treat them with respect, offer a bottle of water if they come to your neighborhood. If you open a dialogue with them they’ll talk to you and you can explain the guns are for those who want to hijack the situation and destroy lives and property.

You must be mindful because the rioters are riding their coattails and want you to shoot at peaceful protesters, don’t fall into a trap.

REMEMBER: The Second Amendment is there to protect the First Amendment. Don’t let infiltrators turn us against each other and pit 2A’ers against 1A’ers.

We live in a small remote mountain town of 1,000. Yesterday the streets were filled with cars, RVs, campers and families. Looks like we're the bug-out location for those seeking refuge from the surrounding out-of-state cities.

Everyone here has guns for protection due to mountain lions, bears, foxes and such that attack livestock. It's a well-armed community. Most of the residents stay home when the tourists are in town. They tend not to leave home except to travel to the grocery store and Post Office until tourist season is over in the Fall. Did not expect such an influx of people so early in the season given the COVID lockdown. Most tourists stay up at the lake. So far, no ANTIFA insurgents. PTL
