All 640 recruits -- which form 30th AG Battalion and 2nd Battalion, 29th Infantry Regiment -- were retested for COVID-19. After all 640 tests were returned over a two-day period, that same cohort of recruits had a 22 percent COVID-positive rate with 142 positive tests.

This could be an indicator that the tests are unreliable.

Even the best tests for any infectious disease can generate false positives and negatives.

The problem lies in the fact that the current coronavirus tests use PCR, or Polymerase Chain Reaction, where a reagent is applied to a sample of virus to make it replicate itself, or grow so that it can actually be visualized using a scanning electron microscope (SEM).

But since the tests aren't validated by scientists or technicians using SEM's - there aren't enough SEM's or users available to manage the large volume of testing - you really don't know what the tests are actually showing - they just show the presence of something. That something could be fragments of other viruses, or the actual virus.

The test results could also be showing that very large numbers of people who do get infected are asymptomatic and never go on to get symptoms.

Or it takes days to incubate and have enough viral load to be detected. This has been the case since day 1.

At my workplace, we are struggling with this fact. If someone tests positive and has been in close contact with someone else...we test the other person. Except for the fact that they could be infected and the viral load is not great enough yet. So, they test Negative...but are actually infected. Then they return to work and it just spreads. It seems the only true way to stop this is to quarantine anyone who has been exposed to someone else without proper PPE in place. At the end of the quarantine, they need to be tested before returning to work. Safest measure possible.

Just keep testing until you get the desired result.

CoronaVirus didn't go away just because everything "reopened" last Monday for Memorial Day. Viruses don't work like that.

I expect for many people to start dropping like flies in about another two weeks not what CoronaVirus is spreading around with the riots.
