I've never had a cop help me in my life, and now I'm expected to thank one?

In Florida they put my girlfriend and I in the back seat of the patrol car while two cops counted out my 1100 dollar they said they filled a paper out on it so I would not lose it. They let us go and said we had to do some shit to get the money back, it was too much to have on me at one time .
I caontacted the police station for months after that and they said they don’t know nothing about it .

The cops have helped me, several times. I was a community organiser against illegal immigration in the Los Angeles area. I went to tons of marches and such in downtown LA where if the LAPD wasn’t there, the illegal aliens and “antifa” would have beat us all to death.

As a person who has had dealings with police, been repeatedly harassed as a person living below the poverty level and occasionally homeless, been the victim of shoddy record keeping in a way that actually caused my homelessness once, and been the witness, as a homeless person, of numerous situations where the police turn a blind eye to crime and straight up don't do their job, I have to say the question is understandable.

You are expected to obey laws, not kiss a cop's ass. Quit whing betacuck.

Then as an adult I was broke down on the side of the road with no jack. The wife took it! The police pulled up and asked if I needed assistance. The officer told me to jump in the squad car and we went to his house. He offered me a beer and then took me to the gas station.

I've also seen police sell crack before, so there's that.

YES! And don't forget all the nurses, phys. assistants, "doctors", etc. that are twerking on video in the empty hospitals. You should also start a gofundme and volunteer to help them because they are all purely selfeless, do their jobs for free and 100% THERE FOR YOU whenever you need them.

Its like this: If you're always forced to walk with crutches, depending on them (cops providing your security) and then, suddenly you fall down (cops are really needed) do you want to be able to stand up by yourself (walk without crutches) or do you want to just wait around for them to come and fix the situation while the people that tripped you beat, stab, steal and shoot you? If you said yes, you're not a real American.

...problem is, there is a percentage (that is far too high) where the victim that called the cops ends up in worse shape than if the victim had never called the cops.

I've never been helped by a cop. No one I know has ever been helped by a cop. They used to be peace officers. Now they are government thugs. Do they provide "some good". Some. It would be a lot better if we fired all the corporate thugs, er, uh, police officers and let the county sheriffs handle the law enforcement. "Law Enforcement" today are not law enforcement. They are policy enforcement. Don't bullshit yourself or us. The sheriff is the only entity that even approaches Constitutionality.

There are still A LOAD of good ones. The problem is, you never know what you've got facing you.

I've been helped by a VERY courteous State trooper before (Northeast) and he was salt of the Earth. Sheriff's deputies, in particular, can really be regular Joes, and decent guys..especially in rural areas.

Actually, the facts and statistics go against your Socially Engineered way of thinking! This town's Mayor (Kennesaw Georgia) made owning guns a LAW and guess what happened? Crime went to near ZERO and Police eventually got laid off. Criminals know that Police are minutes away, but when a home has a gun in it and / or the people are armed, criminals are much less likely to commit a crime ...

The police here are okay. I talk to them all the time. I'm not in the combat zone anymore and it's pretty quiet around here. I'm sure the cities are getting worse and corrupt cops are rampant there. I guess it depends where you are!

But, even in the rural areas they're looking out for the establishment. They are not here to protect your rights, as stated in their oaths, they are here for the state. Even the sheriff deputies are getting that way anymore. Never trust them, never call them.

i know a man got written a ticket for chilling out at the public park...he was on a night shift most days, just his awake time. It made the neighbors near the park uncomfortable because there was a time drug dealing would go down there.

So if ur like those neighbor types or u like making druggies scared of the po-po symbolizing themselves here n there, writing tickets, well there's a reason for ya. They been helping u all along.
